Halo Platform Weekly Newsletter Week of: Dec. 2 – Dec 8, 2018

Halo Platform Weekly Newsletter Week of: Dec. 2 – Dec 8, 2018   Here are some of the new things going on at Halo Platform this week:   New Releases The Halo Platform Team is working hard to refine user experience. This week, we’ve been focusing fixing on a number of user issues people have reported to us. We want to ensure our user experience is top notch, so this is one of our primary focuses for this month. Here is a summary of what we released this week: Fixed a bug that prevented Halo from being withdrawn from DEX to personal wallet Fixed a bug that would cause orders created using the max button to fail Fixed issue that would cause Balances page to not show all supported tokens
To see what we are currently working on at any time, take a look at our Status Board.   Marketing Update We have kicked off a marketing campaign this week designed to expand our community and promote our products and media content more broadly. Participants who promote our pages and follow us on blogs, social media and forums are entered into a draw. The promotion runs for 10 weeks. The first prize each week is HALO currency, with 2nd and 3rd place winners receiving Halo Platform hoodies and t-shirts. Visit our promotion page to learn more: http://bit.ly/2rlCz8B   New Business The Halo Platform business development team spent a great couple of days shaking hands and promoting all the fantastic work going on behind the scenes at the Halo Platform at this year’s Blockchain Expo-North America. The conference, which took place in Santa Clara on the 27th and 28th of November, was a wonderful opportunity to make connections and spread the word about Halo Platform. We’ve been reaching out to all of the great new contacts and investigating opportunities for both hosting projects on our blockchain and listing new coins on HaloDEX. We have a number of projects in the works for the Halo Platform blockchain network and Block and Chain Game Studios, so look out for new announcements in the near future.   Halo Platform & Exchange We will be adding the Horizon State (HST) token to HaloDEX next week and continuing to work on BTC integration. Integrating BTC is complex and will take more time to finish, so thanks so much for your patience as we work it out. We also added a few enhancements to HaloDEX, including informative pricing data and USD equivalent. Check out the new look:

Halo Platform Weekly Newsletter Week of: Nov. 25 – Dec. 1, 2018

Halo Platform Weekly Newsletter Week of: Nov. 25 – Dec. 1, 2018   Hello Halo Platform community. Thanks as always for following us on our journey through the cryptospace. Here are some of the happenings at Halo Platform this week:
Halo Platform & Exchange The cryptocurrency markets have taken a wild ride over the past couple of weeks, but Halo is still going strong. Our team is working hard to add Horizon State (HST) and Bitcoin (BTC) wrappers to HaloDEX as we continue to grow our coin support. Otherwise, our main priorities are the coin split and v1.1 of the master node system, which is required to support the split and changes our minting rates. Essentially, the split is a hard fork and we need to make sure all of our current systems support the change. Extensive testing is providing assurance that our system is ironclad and airtight. Thanks for supporting us as we build a bigger, better cryptocurrency platform.
New Releases As always, we’re working to improve the Halo Platform user experience. Over the past 2 weeks, we delivered the following new releases:   Chrome Extension Release v1.1.1: Phrase verification words are now sorted Main net RPC url has been changed to https://mainnet.haloplatform.tech   DEX Version 3.1.0: Added new ticker component Improved long text display in the total field with detailed information about the currently selected base/token Fixed UI for multiple screen sizes down to iPhone5 Fixed a bug that caused the max value used when clicking the max button in an order The Landing page will now properly show a progress loader in dark mode   During Thanksgiving week, we also released DEX versions 3.0.2 and 3.0.3, which: Fixed display bug for prices on trade history Fixed a bug that would cause balances to not update in real time Fixed a bug that would cause order books to not update upon changing markets Added VTHO coin support
To see what we are currently working on at any time, take a look at our Status Board.
Marketing Update The Halo Platform and Block and Chain Game Studios website developers are working hard to create new website content. This includes ongoing development of the Player Central platform for Block and Chain Games, which will serve as the primary user interface for the entire gaming platform. Player Central will be ready for testing shortly, so stay tuned for a testnet release. A Halo Platform website revamp is also in the works. Look for a detailed announcement regarding the new changes in December.
New Business In our efforts to spread the word about all of the great things Halo Platform has to offer, Business Development Manager Matthew Dowd and Halo Platform VP of Operations Devin Seto attended the Blockchain Expo-North America, in California’s Silicon Valley. The event, which ran from the 28th through the 30th of November, focused on content from leading brands embracing and developing cutting edge blockchain technologies. This is exciting for both Halo Platform and Block and Chain Game Studios as the team met to evangelize the strengths and benefits of our superfast and low-cost platform. We have several follow up meetings with potential partners coming next week and Matt will be meeting in person with a number of companies based in New York.   Matt Dowd (Business Development Manager) and Devin Seto (VP of Operations)   Blockchain in the Entertainment Industry Panel - We spoke with these panelists from the TV, Music and Video Game industries   We met with Kingsley Hendrickse, co-founder of Sushi Chain, getting ready to beta test Guardians of Axum, a collectible blockchain card game   Platform Partner Updates   Horizon State just celebrated another great milestone. The Opportunities Party (New Zealand) vote commenced this morning, enabling over 4000 members to vote for their next leader and board representative. The vote will run until 12:00 noon on the 8th of December, and is using the Halo Blockchain to manage the election.   Did you know? There are detailed instructions and walkthroughs of the Halo Platform on our wiki and youtube channels. Let us know if there is something you’d like to see there and we will gladly add it.

Halo Platform Weekly Newsletter: November 16, 2018

Beginning this week, we will be sending out newsletters every Friday. There is so much going on that we feel it makes more sense to publish shorter newsletters more frequently.
Here are some of the new things going on at Halo Platform:
New Releases Last night, we released version 3.0.0 of the HaloDEX, which includes a handful of improvements, including: Updates to match new wrapper system Adds background coloring to Market Orders (trade history) and removes the pricing color highlight Added a header to Open Orders Order fields will no longer correct what you are typing if you go over your balance Market Orders (trade history) can now be toggled to just show your previous trade history for that market UI now fully responds to a user being signed out of extension or account being locked in feather client Wrapper deposits are no longer shown on Balances page, but instead a button is shown to open a dialog to copy your deposit address (helps users with smaller screens/resolutions) Rounding errors should all be fixed This release also includes support for VET. VeChain’s currency. Additional coin wrappers are in development and will be available on the DEX in the coming days. No new extension or client download is required with this release. Simply refresh and Featherlite will pick up the changes. To see what we are currently working on at any time, take a look at our Status Board.
Marketing Update On Wednesday, our CEO Scott Morrison participated in a livestream with Todd Blackburn of Crypto Coin Trader. During the interview, Scott answered a host of questions about the Halo Platform and provided an update on our various initiatives. We’re working with CCT to make the recorded interview available publicly on their YouTub channel. Look for an update next week.
New Business Halo Platform shined at the World Crypto Con (“WCC”) held in Las Vegas at the end of October. Our leadership team connected with several prospective partners and wowed some of the biggest influencers in the cryptocurrency industry. There’s no replacement for hard work, and business development efforts like this have already paid off for Halo Platform. We’ve already solidified a partnership with Horizon State, a token-based blockchain voting and decision-making platform. Horizon State, a ground breaking token-based blockchain voting and decision-making platform has chosen to host their project on the lightning fast, super secure Halo Platform blockchain network. The Horizon State platform delivers unprecedented trust through the integrity and post-unforgeable attributes of the distributed ledger technology offered on the Halo Platform blockchain. Their voting system has already been chosen as the exclusive voting solution to be used by The Democratic Party of India and just this week it was announced that they will be used by New Zealand’s Opportunity Party, to conduct their leadership election next month.
Halo Currency Listing LATOKEN, a rapidly growing crypto exchange focusing on liquidity for new tokens, will soon be listing Halo Currency. This represents a major step forward for both Halo Platform and its growing family of partners in the cryptocurrency world. That’s it for news for this week, but new projects are always underway at Halo Platform. Join us on social media for the latest on what’s happening at Halo Platform and across the cryptocurrency industry. Did you know? There are detailed instructions and walkthroughs of the Halo Platform on our wiki. Horizon State Chooses the Halo Platform Blockchain Network

Horizon State Chooses the Halo Platform Blockchain Network
The leadership and development teams at the Halo Platform are happy to announce our recent blockchain hosting partnership with the exciting project, Horizon State
As they explain in their whitepaper, “Horizon State has built a token-based blockchain voting and decision-making platform that delivers unprecedented trust through the integrity and post-unforgeable attributes of DLT.  Horizon State delivers a secure digital ballot box, wherein results are immutable and voter identities are protected. Votes cast can be counted transparently, in real time, by anyone in the world. These counts can happen in perpetuity, as results are permanently retained on the blockchain and are immutable. More than that - Horizon State allows voters to verify that their own vote is accounted for, while maintaining their anonymity”
Their voting system has already been chosen as the exclusive voting solution to be used by The Democratic Party of India and just this week it was announced that they will be used by New Zealand’s Opportunity Party, to conduct their leadership election next month. The Halo Platform blockchain will handle tens of thousands of transactions during each vote.
Horizon State uses blockchain technology and their advanced architecture to deliver on three core needs present in the voting/election space… “considered deliberation of decisions, effective mobilization of communities, and facilitation of secure voting.”  When these powerful tools are offered to the public at large, it is possible to make “every voice count on a global scale.”  The team behind Horizon State studied the strengths and weaknesses of the various blockchain networks available today and decided that the Halo Platform Blockchain was clearly the best choice of network provider.   As their platform use grows, it is possible (and very likely) that the Horizon State system will be handling voting sessions with millions of transactions over a short period of time.  The Halo Platform not only offers a lightning-fast network with zero gas fees (zero transaction cost), but is also secured at an enterprise level that could rival the security of many banks. Obviously, to ensure the trust and reliability of engagements ranging from shareholder voting to official government elections, network security was a major factor in the decision made by Horizon State.   The Horizon State platform stresses the importance of increased engagement and is working hard to “empower communities with decision making tools that inspire trust” fueled by the use of their Decision Tokens (HST).  The HST token will soon be listed for trade on HaloDEX , the Halo Platform’s advanced decentralized exchange, backed by one of the fastest and most secure blockchain networks available today.

This is a huge leap forward for the Halo Platform, and we couldn’t be more proud of what we’re now able to offer to our community of users. People can continue to expect great things as we continue to make the Halo Platform widely available.   Featherlite Browser Extension Block & Chain Game Studios updates This has been a big week for us and we are pleased to announce to our community (before everyone else), that we have published our whitepaper! The Block and Chain Game Studios whitepaper features information on the type of games we are making and, more importantly, the advantages of building games on our platform. Unlike the numerous blockchain games out there, the speed of the Halo Platform blockchain and the features of the platform itself offer advantages that our competitors simply cannot. The whitepaper will be a centerpiece of our business development efforts and will be a tool to grow our game ecosphere through vital development partnerships such as Decimated. The whitepaper has been published to our website and will be launched on partner sites and press releases next week. A couple of weeks ago, we announced our partnership with the Crypto Gamers Community. We are proud to be featured on their homepage this week. Their CEO is very excited about our upcoming game launches and has been showcasing the B&C game platform to blockchain game makers at conferences and other events. Sign up on our website to receive our weekly Block and Chain newsletter to learn more.   Business Development Updates There is less than a week until Halloween, and it’s scary how much great stuff is getting done at Halo Platform. Aside from the launch of our HaloDEX, we have been busy building relationships and fostering partnerships with various projects and exchanges in the cryptosphere. I know in the past I have teased about the projects and partnerships we have been in discussions with, so I am now happy to announce we will be working with FairAccess (www.fairaccess.io) as a blockchain network partner. This group has developed one of the fastest and fairest online queuing systems that can be used to get smarter access to things in high demand (ICO’s, sports tickets, concert ticket, etc). FairAccess sees the advantage of the Halo Platform and has started developing on our chain with plans to release a token on our network as well. Expect to read about new partnerships in each future newsletter. The team behind the Halo Platform will be proudly represented at the World Crypto Con (https://worldcryptocon.com/) in Las Vegas next week from 10/31 to 11/02. Our CEO Scott Morrison and Matt Dowd (that’s me… the business development guy) will be making the rounds and spreading the word about everything offered by the Halo Platform. We will be giving out Halo Platform t-shirts (the same ones that people were snatching up at TokenFest!), so be sure to look for us if you are lucky enough to attend this year’s World Crypto Con.
HaloX Updates This past sprint was focused on wallet node monitoring, API development, and a full test suite for our Matching engines. Once Integration Testing is completed, we will be able to quickly and easily test current and future builds for expected functionality and expose any vulnerabilities early on. The priority for next sprint is to hook up the front end and wallet architecture to the back end. Feedback and requests made to HaloDEX will be incorporated while development on HaloX continues.   Halo Platform Portfolio Updates

This sprint the team has been working on behind the scenes, backend performance updates and beginning development on our conversion API to get real-time pricing for coins in commonly preferred base currencies (e.g. prices in USD).   Resources Masternode Instructions Setting up and using a masternode is simple with the Halo Platform. Ever had a button that doesn't work? A weird menu system that causes anxiety and confusion? I've seen it, experienced it, and it's all I think about on a daily basis. If you've played the game Journey, you know what an absolutely beautiful, minimalistic UI looks and feels like (if you haven't played it I recommend it!). I love the game World of Warcraft and it’s my most favorite game (seriously my account time played is in years)! I've spent countless hours setting up my UI to fit my play style. The importance of good UI can be the difference between frustration and full immersion and I plan to deliver a great UI experience to the players of our games!
In the News What’s hot in gaming, on and off the blockchain? Here’s where you find out! https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/gaming/2018/10/26/red-dead-redemption-2-rockstar-games-western-classic/1650295002/ - Lovers of vastly explorable action video games won't need much persuading to saddle up for "Red Dead Redemption 2," the blockbuster game out Friday for Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One  B&C: Red Dead Redemption 2 captivated audiences the world over this week. Not everyone loves the unadulterated violence of Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games' popular open world title, where you can kill cops, steal cars and listen to heavy metal. However, it's hard not to love Red Dead Redemption. Yes, it's gritty and violent but in that old timey way that only a digital spaghetti western can supply. A good open world game provides not only immersion, but freedom of choice. No matter what kind of gamer you are, you can find something in here you'll enjoy. Thankfully, we're starting to see open world games come to the blockchain (I'm dropping a subtle hint here), so we can bear witness to the coming together of two great technologies. I'm a PC gamer so I have to wait a little longer for my copy of Red Dead 2, unfortunately...

Halo Platform Special Announcement

Halo Platform Special Announcement   HaloDEX is live on MainNet   Early this morning we released HaloDEX, our decentralized exchange, on Featherlite’s main net. Users can now trade between HALO and Ethereum (ETH) as well as experience instant order creation and trade execution.  We here at Halo Platform would like to give many thanks to those of you in our community who participated in our Beta Testing program and provided us with excellent feedback. The exchange has come a very long way in development since we began creating it a few months ago. Next week HaloDEX will become available on HaloDEX.io.  This will be useful for users who do not have the Featherlite client installed. To begin using HaloDEX, take a moment and read our instructions here: https://wiki.haloplatform.tech/HaloDex. HaloDEX runs in Lite mode, so there no need to launch in Full Node (although that option is available). If you run into any issues, feel free to contact us through our various support channels (Forums, Discord, and email). Happy trading!   HALO/ETH Trading page   Ethereum deposit page   In addition, between now and Monday, we are preparing to launch the Featherlite Chrome extension. This means you will soon be able to access all current features of the Featherlite client through the Chrome web browser, including HaloDEX. Featherlite Chrome Browser Extension

Halo Platform Bi-weekly Newsletter: October 12th, 2018

Welcome to the Halo Platform Bi-Weekly newsletter! This is where we provide updates on recent developments and announcements for upcoming news, products, and events.

HaloDEX Updates The decentralized exchange will be pushed to MainNet and go live for official trading very soon.  Our developers are fixing the last set of reported issues from our Beta users and are beginning to deploy to production for official launch. Upon release, Ethereum will be available as a base trading pair. Halo will be available to be traded against Ethereum, with more coins coming as they are added to the cross network protocol. Stay tuned to our forums, Discord and social media channels for a launch date for HaloDEX. Users will soon enjoy the most advanced decentralized exchange, backed by one of the fastest blockchain networks on the cryptosphere!
Our token voting competition will also be available during launch. If you would like to vote for a project to be listed on HaloDEX, email the project name to listings@halodex.io.  We will add the option for that project as soon as the voting competition begins.
Because our platform is so versatile, any coin or token can be listed on the decentralized exchange regardless of network type.
Recent updates to HaloDEX testnet can be found in our patch notes below.
1.0.2 Beta change logs: Fixed order book bug that caused incorrect user amounts to trades Fixed order book bug that caused incorrect values being based to dex smart contract when making orders and trades Fixed Landing page bug that caused null data to be processed from ticker data
1.0.1 Beta change logs: Fixes Trading View bugs Adds placeholder for future Halo items on Landing Page Fixes order book bugs Removes the footer from Landing Page Replaces Trading View save image with a custom implementation Fixes bug that caused subscriptions to only start working after user changes base
Proposal-001 Updates - Action Required Beginning with Proposal-001, the community voted in favor for the split to increase the overall supply of HALO.  The next step is to have a second vote proposing the amount of the supply increase. The increase would affect all HALO, regardless of where the currency is being stored. Now it’s time to vote on the Proposal 002 which is the split amount. We have 4 options: 1:100 1:250 1:500 1:800 Since the coin split vote has already passed with an overwhelming majority supporting it, the split amount itself will simply be determined by a “plurality voting” method (known as “first past the post” in British voting terminology). This method is defined as “one in which voters indicate on a ballot the candidate of their choice, and the candidate who receives the most votes wins” For example, if 800:1 receives 30% support, 500:1 35% support, 250:1 15% support and 100:1 20% support; then under this scenario 500:1 would be the winner due to being the most popular option.
In order to vote, you must email your information to: proposal@haloplatform.tech.  Submissions must include a full screenshot of Featherlite resting on your Masternode screen with the statistics showing. The two pieces of information necessary for participation are your Halo Invested and the Prime account. If you own multiple Halo Addresses with Masternodes then you can submit a vote for each Address.  To stay up to date on Proposal-002, visit our forum discussion here.
Masternode System updates In the last Masternode release, we introduced a fledgling API to reduce network load and increase speed when loading masternodes. There have been some growing pains due to these changes, and it is our priority to resolve these issues to ensure a smooth experience. As such, the most recent development on the Masternode DAPP includes bug fixes, quality of life changes, and some new features. We resolved an issue that blocked Masternode loading after a cancellation. We also resolved an issue with the withdraw all rewards dialog sometimes displaying incorrect information. The watched contract system was tweaked to only include manually-added contracts, which resolves an issue when selling all shares in a masternode and refreshing before the API has caught up.  For quality of life, the Masternode manage view now utilizes a reactive number of available shares for sale. The number of shares displayed in the sell shares button now updates to the current amount of available shares, and users can no longer attempt to create a sell order for more shares than are available. A new feature we are working on is the address book, which can be used to store named addresses which can then be quickly selected or populated into masternode account fields. A preview of the address book feature is shown below.

HaloX updates This past sprint, our focus for the Centralized Exchange has been on building a test suite encompassing both end-to-end simulation and unit testing. This will allow us to monitor/improve performance and code functionality going forward, as well as allow us to make rapid and confident code changes that preserve code integrity. In addition to that, the team has added native WebSockets integration to the HaloFIX API and completed major work on the Wallet API that will provide for a safe and robust back end to node communication.
Block & Chain Games updates We’re pleased to announce we have partnered with Crypto Gamers Community, the leading community and fan site for blockchain games. Halo Platform Portfolio updates
Portfolio has been undergoing lots of changes to improve our user experience. We’ve refactored all of our charts to reduce the number of bugs and improve our ability to add features to them. Now they look even better than ever! We’re also developing more backend components to get our real-time pricing API working to provide Portfolio with close to real-time data. Finally, we’re working on supporting more exchange data providers and making numerous performance improvements.
Business Development Efforts Since all of the hard work our development team has been doing on HaloDEX has been so fruitful and launch is very near, we figured it was the right time to ramp up our discussions with major cryptocurrency trading groups in regards to building our market maker and liquidity provider programs. Our team has been in contact with some of the best programs in this space and will be making formal announcements as relationships are made official.  To help us continue to build our ever-growing community, we’ve been making major connections through our university outreach efforts. In fact, Halo Platform was very happy to meet up with the leadership behind the BlockVenture Coalition (https://blockventurecoalition.com/index.html), the largest alliance of university blockchain groups in the world, at the great Bitsian “Wine O’Clock” networking event held on October 10th.  With over 40 blockchain groups across 7 countries and a reach of 15,000 students, the Halo Platform is very excited to get more involved with them in their efforts of advancement and guidance for university blockchain projects.
Other Updates The Halo Platform team would like to welcome and congratulate Sean Kimball on both becoming a full-time employee at Halo Platform and for becoming Halo Platform's first Development Manager. Sean has provided the team with immense talent and many solutions on to the development side of our projects.

Crypto Exchange Site Wins Court Appeal Against Centralized Bank

Cryptocurrency is continuing to gain mainstream notoriety and acceptance, and not just among the digital coin community. Cryptocoin markets and exchange sites are earning increasing recognition by courts of law and regulatory agencies around the world. Most recently, this was evidenced by a court ruling against Chile’s central bank, Banco Estada, that ordered the financial giant to provide services to popular digital coin exchange Orionx. Halo Platform knows that the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency is the future. While it has taken mainstream financial institutions some time – and some gentle prompting by the court system – to embrace cryptocoin markets, they are slowly coming around. Soon, digital coin exchanges, including Halo Platform’s own exchange site, will operate alongside of commercial and national banks providing critical financial services for people around the world.   Chilean State Bank Closes Crypto Exchange Accounts Earlier this year, Chile's Court of Appeals of Santiago heard an appeal from popular South American exchange Orionx. The cryptocurrency exchange was litigating against Chile’s state bank, Banco Estada, the official, and only Chilean-owned bank in the country. The case arose back in March, when Banco Estada closed Orionx's deposit account, as well as accounts associated with two other cryptocurrency exchange sites—Buda and CryptoMKT.  The closing of these accounts meant that users could no longer transfer fiat to the exchange sites in order to purchase cryptocurrency. Needless to say, this was a devastating blow for Chilean cryptocoin markets. In fact, CryptoMKT founding partner, Martín Jofré, stated that as a result of the Banco Estada account closings, his exchange had to return nearly 100 percent of its customers funds. In other words, the exchange site essentially needed to start over from scratch. Despite this setback, the Chilean digital coin community remains positive. This is particularly true in light of the recent court ruling in favor of the exchange sites. This positive turn of events gives digital coin traders hope the Chilean cryptocoin market will improve in the coming months. At the very least, however, the headline-grabbing litigation will generate more public awareness and mainstream conversation about the topic.   South American Court Rules in Favor of Digital Coin Exchange Site Banco Estada was the last remaining bank in Chile available to digital coin exchanges, and it decided to close the exchange accounts based on its interpretation of the nation’s financial regulations. The bank stated it based its decision on the fact that Chile's regulations failed to recognize cryptocurrency trading. Banco Estada was also concerned that it was unable to determine whether the digital coin exchanges engaged in illegal activity made possible through cryptocoin markets, such as money laundering and other financial crimes. The Chilean Court of Appeals, however, ordered Banco Estada to reopen Orionx's accounts, stating that the bank's actions were unconstitutional and constituted "arbitrary and illegal" action.  In a blow against cryptocoin market critics, the Court stated that digital coin transactions should not immediately be associated with potential financial crimes, as Banco Estada had done. This ruling is particularly encouraging to cryptocurrency traders in Chile, who feared the Bank's actions would harm the industry.  "They're killing an entire industry,”  Buda CEO Guillermo Torrealba opined. “It won't be possible to buy and sell crypto in a safe business in Chile.  We'll have to go back five years and trade in person. It seems very arbitrary." However, with the Court of Appeal's favorable ruling, many anticipate the country will begin to officially acknowledge the legitimacy of cryptocoin markets, and potentially even begin to draft cryptocurrency regulations. This represents an important step forward for the mainstream legitimacy of cryptocurrency exchange sites, both in Chile and around the world. This institutional support will prove integral in the development of bigger, better, and safer digital coin trading services, including Halo Platform’s new decentralized exchange site. Proposal-001 Proposal-001 is a vote to consider a split on the HALO currency. This split means that the total supply of HALO would increase if the vote is passed.  Anyone would has HALO would be eligible and there would not be any restrictions even if you store HALO in your wallet or own a masternode. How would this work? 1. If the vote is passed, a hard fork will increase all holdings by a determined amount. For example at a ratio of 100:1, if you have 1,000 HALO, you will have 100,000 HALO after the swap. Note: The specific split ratio will be voted on by the community. 2. All masternode tiers would be increased in collateral requirement also by the same factor. For example, a Tier One Masternodes would increase from 500 Halo to 50,000 at a 100:1 ratio. In addition to this, we’d also place a lot more emphasis on the use case of HALO as a Currency. The brand “HALO Currency” is something that would be marketed in addition to the incredible Halo Platform. Why do this? For those who’ve been following closely, Halo Platform has a number of very exciting developments in the pipeline (HaloDex, HaloX, Browser Extension, Block and Chain Games, etc). However, a genuine concern is that the amazing features and benefits of the Halo Platform can sometime detract from the incredible performance of the HALO blockchain itself. The fact that the HALO blockchain is incredibly fast (handling thousands of transactions per second) and has zero fees, makes this potentially one of the most disruptive projects in the entire cryptocurrency industry.  If we are to position ourselves as a currency, then we need to remove any psychological barrier to entry for any potential adopters. There are many examples where certain cryptocurrencies (mostly with a low price per coin & high coin supply), have gained significant traction in terms of market capitalization, while not offering anywhere near the benefits that Halo does just as a currency, yet alone as a Platform. Throughout last week, votes were cast among our community and today the voting ended.  Next week we will make an announcement on the collected votes and begin the vote for the split ratio. To stay up to date on Proposal-001, visit our forum discussion here.
Halo Platform Media Room Last week we added a new section to the Halo Platform website showcasing our media resources.  Within this page you will find links to our recent news updates, events we will be attending, photos and videos. Many of our community members have requested content that they can share with influencers to increase our reach. We welcome anyone to utilize media from the page for that purpose.   HOARD Voting Hoard is currently hosting a voting competition.  HALO has been added as a currency to vote for. Cast your vote today and if selected among the winners, you’ll see Halo on the Hoard mobile wallet as well as their decentralized exchange launching next year. To vote, simply click the link below and enter HALO https://www.hoardinvest.com/vote/   Featherlite Updates Featherlite recently had a software update. Please download the latest version here. Below is a list of changelogs. Featherlite 1.1.2: Removed "reset local storage" button Handling "out of space" error message from GLO (shows it in splash UI) Added ability to save GLO logs to a file (goes into ~/Downloads/glo.log) in bot splash-ui and main-ui Changed default port to 9565 Added additional information for GLO sync in splash-ui Batch is resolved when all transactions are rafter rather than when they hit the GLO node gasLimit is properly calculated now based on chain instead of hardcoded value (this affected execution of smart contracts occasionally) Changed default port to 9565 Masternode System Updates The Masternode DAPP recently had an update. To apply the update, simply restart Featherlite or click Refresh while in the Masternode DAPP. Below is a list of changelogs. Masternode DAPP 2.4.4: Re-enabled buy selected button in the marketplace (see fixes in feather release) Fixed termination dialog saving confirmation after close Fixed monitoring loading after already booted Fixed monitoring sometimes not reloading after changing prime account Fixed issue that sometimes caused errors when booting monitoring Fixed issue where withdrawing from watched node caused unintended UI interactions Fixed issue that sometimes caused monitoring loading to show an incorrect percentage Fixed issue where the number of sell orders would not update automatically after creating a sell order Fixed issue where reward balance would not update when withdrawn through masternode “Manage” view Added indicators for purchasing own sell order in marketplace Added loading indicator when withdrawing rewards Masternode DAPP 2.5.0 Improved masternode loading time Improved statistics loading time Fixed issue that caused masternode alias to not update automatically after changing alias in masternode manage view Fixed reward balance sometimes not updating automatically for individual withdrawals from masternode list view Fixed issue that sometimes caused multiple "are you sure" confirmations to create a sell order Fixed issue that sometimes created several blank additional account fields when provisioning a private node Fixed issue that caused provisioning a private node to fail if additional account fields were left blank
DEX updates We have made a ton of updates to Trading View and to tickers. We have updated our subscription model and it is now working 100% of the time. We have deployed the wrapper system so you can convert Rinkeby ETH into H-ETH. Wrappers!!! So the system now has ETH -> H-ETH capabilities. However you must be on the RINKEBY network for your eth to be counted, DO NOT SEND ETH ON MAINNET! More instructions on this system is coming, but it will allow you to test trading H-ETH on our dex. Subscriptions Are Fixed!!! So we have been working to address the issue that has been present since we launched the DEX on Testnet, which was that live data would not always be received by the client. This meant that different clients got out of sync and would show different order books. Obviously we cannot have this. So we worked this sprint to build out and redefine new data pipes and partnered with the company Pusher to do this. We now not only have live data being propagated to clients correctly, but we are being more deliberate about what events each client connected should receive. This cuts down on our bandwidth and data charges and make sure that end user machines can handle all the data coming at them. We also addressed a large problem of memory consumption and performance on the DEX. Because our dex moves faster than any other DEX out there, we have to handle new issues that others don’t. Essentially we needed to start handling data better and making sure that the internal javascript running the dex was as streamlined as possible. We can gladly say that we reduced the memory footprint while under load by about 65% with some easy to attain performance improvements. There is also a new frontend page coming that will list markets in a data table for you to find the market you want to trade in easier. Currently it isn’t hooked up to live data so you will have to refresh to get new info, but it is a start in that direction. This frontpage will also be used to share announcements, and information for people coming to the DEX. We hope it serves as a good landing for new users and returning users. The final update we worked on this sprint is tradingview. We were having some data inconsistencies with what tradingview was expecting, and so we began fixing that. So now that we have, volume and ticks/wicks are working on the tradingview chart. This has also been moved over to pull live data from our new backend. Not all changes were on the frontend and noticeable, we rewrote the backend to be more performant, adapt to changes, and to run across multiple servers if needed. With the real possibilities of seeing 1000 trades per second or more when we move to off chain order books, we worked with industry leaders to make sure our clusters and servers are all optimized correctly for production. We hope to move the testnet to this new production environment for load testing before launch. All of these updates will be available on Testnet soon. Keep an eye on Discord for an announcement. For instructions to test HaloDEX, please visit here.
HaloX updates Over the past two weeks, the team has worked on completing the exchange API client and testing the client-server functionality. With this piece done, the team is now focused on frontend websocket integration as well as architecting the wallet connectivity piece. The backend developers are going to focus on writing unit and performance tests over the next sprint. Exchange wallets are getting plenty of attention this sprint (2 week period).  We are building a redundant wallet node network that will allow us to process deposits and withdrawals in near real time. Wallet security is very important to us. Our customers trust that we will provide a robust, secure method of tracking and storing their digital assets.
Business Development Updates The past two weeks have been full of exciting work communicating with industry influencers and investigating ICO hosting opportunities from contacts made at the Boston TokenFest event.  Along with the work being done to list our HALO currency on external exchanges, we are actively talking with other projects who might host their initial tokens listing on our platform. There are a lot of ICO and tokens in the industry, so we’re examining 10-12 of the most promising upcoming projects a week for a possible hosting on our blockchain. The addition of these compelling projects to our network will only serve to strengthen and grow our ecosystem and position in the industry. TokenFest 2018 - Matt Dowd of Halo Platform with Jeremy Ramos of Priatek discussing their platform's exciting In2Win system for gamifying coupons and tokenizing rewards.   Block & Chain Games updates   Fracture Labs partners with Block and Chain Game Studios DECIMATED is a post-apocalyptic survival game with a blockchain based economy. Player-to-player trading, digital scarcity, ownership of items and a smartphone wallet.  From their recent evaluation report, the DECIMATED ICO will be based on Ethereum blockchain (ERC-20) and the game will issue non-fungible virtual items on the Ethereum blockchain first. Afterwards, in game tokens will be usable on the Halo Platform blockchain. We are very excited to work with DECIMATED and look forward to the release of their game.  More details can be found here. The Block and Chain Games Studio sends out weekly newsletters to the community. Go here to sign up so you never miss an update.   Halo Platform Portfolio updates This week Portfolio has fully integrated account tracking and users are able to add accounts to track (both exchange accounts to sync accounts, and manual wallet addresses) and also edit or delete them. These account metrics have been hooked into our charts so that users can see their portfolio values over time and distribution across all their wallets. Users are also able to fetch pricing data from multiple exchanges. We’re currently working on adding multiple exchange support through CCXT so you will be able to add almost any exchange supported by CCXT to be tracked by Portfolio.   Sample of Portfolio Accounts

Halo Platform Bi-weekly Newsletter - September 14th, 2018

Welcome to the Halo Platform Bi-Weekly newsletter! This is where we provide updates on recent developments and announcements for upcoming news, products, and events. During the past sprint (2 weeks), we’ve made a lot of progress with the development of Halo Platform’s lineup of cryptocurrency tools and features.  In addition to providing technical updates, Halo Platform is also pleased to announce our localized marketing campaign, which brings global audiences to our community through multilingual worldwide outreach. Soon, you will see our marketing content translated into Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, and a number of other languages as our community grows through various social media platforms. Masternode System Updates
Among the many improvements made to Halo Platform’s backend tech during this sprint period, we also successfully tested Batch Confirmations and finalized a new Featherlite version release.  With the new update, users can “Withdraw All” in only three clicks - one on the initial withdraw, one on DAPP confirmation of the masternodes and the reward amounts you are withdrawing, and the third for the batch confirmations. The former process requires a confirmation to each masternode reward. This will save our users time whenever they withdraw their rewards.   To update your Featherlite on the latest version, please click here. HaloDEX Updates
We recently released a new version of HaloDEX alpha which changed the main user interface for the exchange page. We’re also adding TradingView, which is an easy to use financial visualization platform that allows users to customize charts as well as create financial analysis forecasts.  We’re refining TradingView to perfection each and every day, so keep an eye out for its pending release in testnet.  Otherwise, we are working hard to squash the final bugs in the DEX and plan to have all issues resolved soon. The HALO Wrappers are also nearly complete and are currently being tested internally. The smart contract backing the DEX is also being slightly reworked to be more modular and allow Halo Platform to more easily migrate as we introduce new features after initial launch. We also changed the Balances page to show both Featherlite and HaloDEX wallet balances. From an end-user experience, this will make it easier to use the DEX on a single page instead of navigating back and forth between Featherlite and HaloDEX wallets. A Socket indicator in the upper-right corner will indicate if your connection is working in real-time.
New HaloDEX features (TradingView and updated Balances)
HaloDEX Wrapper   The below patch notes provide details on the many fixes and improvements to HaloDEX: 0.4.0 Alpha Changed alignment of sell orders Resized the new order card to take up less space Added contextual colors for buying and selling in the new order card Added 8 decimal places to display data for the order book TradingView replaced AmCharts for main chart on exchange Resolution and symbol changing updates Production config updated for static files relating to TradingView Updated Balances page to now show wallet balances outside of dex. Added some coloring to the page to make it less boring 0.5.0 Alpha Orderbook will now display up to 30 orders on either side Fixes for the depth chart to get it working again The main Exchange view has been reworked completely (Let us know what you think!) Fixes for supporting multiple display sizes Fixes for searching tickers by the actual ticker (ie HALO) Removed grids from trading view Fixes a bug causing orders not belonging to the user to show up in "Your Orders" Fixes a bug causing canceled orders to not properly update in the UI Subscriptions are now functions on TradingView Added a web socket connection indicator Fixed a bug that would cause weird rounding errors when making orders Updated ticker nav bar to navigate to the home screen when on balances screen 0.6.0 Alpha Added new max button to fill all available funds Fixed a bug when trying to exhaust all available funds Fixed a bug where orders would not refresh when changing tokens Removed unused toggles from the new order card Updated minimum amount of HALO required to create an order Fixed a bug that would cause improper volume display on TradingView Updated location of buy/sell forms (they are now flipped) Updated location of web socket connection (far right of the toolbar) 0.7.0 Alpha Added better notifications and order aggregation matching Fixed form validation when creating new orders/trades Added UI piece that shows account lock/unlock status and allows unlocking of locked accounts Block and Chain Game Studio Updates Our final playtests for Blockfight are underway and in the past two weeks we have introduced some features which will allow players to have a quick rematch, see their stats and win a daily drop of free in-game coins. On the back end, we’re working hard to incorporate a low-friction currency flow so players can get crypto into the game quickly and easily. Draggin’ Dragons racing screens are undergoing polish and integration into the game. Check out the Block & Chain newsletter for a sample of these fun and fantastic images. The weekly newsletter from Block & Chain goes out every Friday and can be viewed on our forums: Or sign up for our mailing list to receive the newsletter in your inbox each week: https://www.blockandchain.games/.
HaloX Updates
Over the last two-week sprint, the exchange team completed the FIX/WebSockets API. This includes all function calls, permissioning, and validation in addition to further code optimizations and schema refinements. The next step for the team is to create a feature complete client in order to serve as a public API client example and allow us to carry out internal testing. In addition to this, we hope to see progress in wallet connectivity and frontend API integration. Halo Platform Portfolio Updates
We’ve been hard at work developing our backend data APIs and integrating them into the frontend Portfolio so that we can show coin values and Portfolio value over time. We’ve also been fine-tuning our interface for customizing and configuring the dashboard to make it fit everyone’s unique user experience. We are currently in development of getting account tracking working so that you can manage and track your portfolio. Marketing and Business Development Updates
Along with all of the great work our developers have been doing on our Platform and exchanges, we have been making big strides in marketing and business development. We’re producing our “User How-To” videos, which will guide the viewer through the various aspects of the many features available on the Halo Platform. These videos are helpful tools for helping new users get oriented with features of the Halo Platform and will expand our community outreach, so be sure to check them out, starting with our first one on setting up Featherlite: Halo Platform was also recently represented by our Business Development Specialist, Matthew Dowd, at TokenFest in Boston, MA on September 13th and 14th. Welcome to the Halo Platform Bi-Weekly newsletter! This is where we provide updates on recent developments and announcements for upcoming news, products, and events. The monthly AMA (Ask Me Anything) session was streamed on our Youtube channel last Sunday.  We answered many questions with Michael Quale, our Chief Technology Officer.  Michael discussed a handful of interesting topics pertaining to security, scalability, and both centralized and decentralized exchanges.  In case you were not able to watch the live stream, an archived video is available here to watch any time. We plan to continue running our regular AMAs in the near future.
HaloDEXⓇ updates Since HaloDEX has gone public beta on our testnet network, we’ve taken in a lot of feedback and suggestions. This information is driving improvements to the decentralized exchange’s performance as well as user experience. Testing is still ongoing and if you would like to join the public beta, please see our instructions to get started.  At this point, we’re working on wrapping up the final pieces of the DEX. We continue to release testnet updates to the community every one to two days. Once user feedback is implemented and final performance enhancements are made, we will launch HaloDEX on our mainnet network.  The importance of releasing a stable product is crucial for us and our supporters.  With an exchange, security and functional use are imperative and we want to ensure the DEX exceeds expectations.
HaloXⓇ updates Development on the centralized exchange, HaloX, is ongoing, with back end systems up and running and ongoing enhancements inherited from the DEX. In addition, websocket implementation and integration into the website’s UI is underway and we expect to have a fully working interface over the next couple of sprints. Value pricing and Settlement mechanisms are also now in place so we have a way to constantly update product risk on the fly. Stay tuned for more updates on HaloX.
Halo Platform Portfolio updates Our developers have been working hard to create charts which will display information about your cryptocurrency portfolio.  They’ve also started preparation to hook up to external exchange APIs to fetch various market data and retrieve transaction history.  In the below image, see how a chart and source are selected.  The chosen information displays chart metrics based on the currency and date range. Our portfolio management system will be available in the future for Featherlite.

Business Development updates Hello from Matt Dowd. I was asked to explain some of the work we have been doing on the business development front. First off, I just want to say that, after my past career experience as a commodities floor trader and a business development manager for a global derivatives exchange, it is so exciting to be a part of the team during this incredible time of growth and development. In the past two weeks, we have had several meetings with various industry disruptors and potential platform partners. Overwhelmingly, these meetings have yielded a strong belief that Halo Platform’s technology is a network of choice to take blockchain businesses to the highest level. Although specific partnerships cannot be discussed yet, more updates will be announced as they progress.   In addition, we are working very diligently to get HALO listed on many popular exchanges. Although there are many existing and up-and-coming exchanges, a majority of cryptocurrency traders prefer to use only a few select platforms. Exclusively relying our own exchanges is not the end-game. Being listed on key exchanges grants Halo Platform plenty of room for mass adoption.

Block & Chain Games updates The Block and Chain Game Studio’s website officially went live last week.  A lot of information can be found here to know more about the gaming division and the amazing team working to create some exciting games on the Halo Platform project.  In addition, the roadmap shows how close Block Fight and Draggin’ Dragons is from launch. The weekly newsletter from Block & Chain goes out every Friday and can be viewed on our forums: https://community.haloplatform.tech/blogs/blog/4-block-chain-newsletters/ Or sign up for our mailing list to receive the newsletter in your inbox each week: https://www.blockandchain.games/

Other updates Last week, we launched our public forum aimed at increasing our online presence. News, industry topics, patch notes, blogs and reward payouts are just a few topics users can discover for both the Halo Platform and Block & Chain Games. If you’re interested in learning about user tips or guidance within the Halo Platform, please ask and we will provide as much information as possible. If the information is not already present in the forum, login and start a new discussion. Join our online forum at https://community.haloplatform.tech/

Michael has experience in software design, modeling, integration, and migration to meet highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Michael will be able to answer questions regarding security, performance, and scalability on Halo Platform. If you have questions, submit them using this form or tweet it to us at @HaloPlatform. Please use hashtag #AMA with your question. Another big date coming up is Monday, August 20th at 7–7:30 AM EST/PST. Halo Platform will be featured on AMC Networks’ NewsWatch. We are very excited to be featured on national television and get exposure on a great program like NewsWatch. Other Exchange Updates: It’s been a long, busy few weeks for the HaloDEX team, and we’ve been committing our best and brightest to launching our decentralized exchange. The amazing features available on HaloDEX, will certainly be worth the wait. This system provides a persistent websocket connection to our DEX API. What that means is that since Halo Platform’s chain is so fast, orders execute in near real-time and updates and price action movements will be almost instantaneous. We are aiming to please even the most demanding traders, so we built HaloDEX with everything active crypto traders need. Work on our centralized exchange (HaloX) continues to move forward in parallel with the current focus on back end development. With the back end functionality is complete, the codebase has undergone a major refactor to create a library of well documented and reusable functions to allow us to scale up quickly in the future. The final piece of the puzzle on HaloX is the API to connect the front and back end pieces which will be quickly followed with Unit Testing, Simulation Testing and rigorous software and hardware optimizations. Block & Chain Games Update: This sprint, we are working on wrapping up Blockfight (which we introduced to you in the last newsletter). We are also integrating it into the platform. The API’s created for HaloDEX and Featherlite will work with the game to make gameplay and currency flows as seamless as possible. In addition to cryptocurrency, Blockfight will also have a traditional soft currency, which can be purchased with Fiat and cannot be cashed out of the game. This will ensure the game has a free-to-play element, as soft currency will be given as daily rewards to loyal players. We won’t restrict players to only buy cryptocurrency in order to play our games. Rather, we want to introduce them to the Halo Platform through a system that is familiar to them. Most traditional gamers will likely use soft currency in our games and graduate to cryptocurrency as they become more familiar with it. This is a fundamental element to our growth strategy for Block & Chain games and the platform as a whole. Next week, we are going to launch our new website. That will also kick off a campaign of social media updates, videos and newsletters, much like we’re doing with the Halo Platform. We are going to reach beyond the US and establish a social media presence in numerous countries where social and crypto games are growing in popularity. Welcome to the Halo Platform bi-weekly newsletter! Every two weeks, we provide the latest updates on our development in several departments. In this week’s newsletter, we want to focus your attention on the continued development of HaloDEX, Halo Platform’s decentralized exchange. HaloDEX Update We are pleased to announce that the public beta release of HaloDEX will begin on August 15. The first available trading pair will be HALO/ETH. After a few days of testing, BTC and other token pairs will be added and available for trade. Shortly after the launch of HaloDEX, we plan to start our Coin/Token Voting Competition. The competition will allow users to vote for their favorite projects to be listed on HaloDEX. Projects with the highest votes at the end of the competition will be reviewed and selected as the next coin/token added to HaloDEX. These votes will take place regularly, so vote early and often. If you want to see your project listed on the DEX, outside of the voting competition, you can inquire via email at listings@haloplatform.tech. The launch of HaloDEX is the next big step forward for Halo Platform. The Halo Platform team has poured everything they have into making HaloDEX a reality, and we are all very excited to see our vision unfold. But don’t think HaloDEX is all we have up our sleeves — we will have several more new cryptocurrency tools, products, and services to showcase. The Halo Platform team has been hard at work developing new platform features and blockchain-based services that will be ready for launch very soon — particularly from our Block & Chain Game Studio. Centralized Exchange (HaloX) Update The peer-to-peer margin funding system that matches trades, manages risk, and implements accounts has been completed and tested. Our team has hardened some of the matching engine core functions to improve scalability. Currently, we are focused on continuous deployment procedures that will allow modules of the exchange to be hot upgraded to minimize downtime. Masternode System The masternode system is still receiving regular updates to improve speed and usability. A big change is coming to the statistics view, which will show a user’s personal distribution of masternode ownership and how much Halo they have invested in masternodes. Masternode owners will also soon be able to request to have their masternode terminated directly from the dapp. Finally, our new API system will provide a long-term solution to performance issues caused by chain size. Look for the latest update very soon.   Portfolio The Portfolio’s interface is still in the early stages of development, but we’ve finished the dashboard layout system and are now working on creating great looking charts to display multiple datasets from multiple exchanges. Pretty soon, we’re going to have many different chart types including (but not limited to) candlestick, OLHC and pie charts to show information like portfolio holdings, price history and other portfolio/exchange data. Block & Chain Games Update In the last newsletter, we teased Blockfight! — Block & Chain Game Studios’ exciting turn-based creature battle game. In this immersive dice rolling game, players battle hi-res 3D monsters for guts, glory, and valuable rewards. Beat them all and fill your trophy room! Blockfight will launch hot on the heels of HaloDEX, but to keep stoking the fire of excitement behind this and the other blockchain-enabled games under development at Block & Chain, we are pleased to share a gameplay clip from Blockfight. Stay tuned for more updates, as additional information on the game platform and our first titles will be shared in the coming days.   Halo Platform Resources Masternode Instructions Setting up and using a masternode is simple with the Halo Platform. In today’s newsletter, we have some exciting details to cover on the launch of our decentralized exchange, HaloDex. HaloDex is nearly complete! With HaloDex, users will be able to trade HALO with other cryptocurrency pairs within the Featherlite wallet or dedicated web portal. There will be no need to download a 3rd party application, which is part of our vision of being the all-in-one crypto platform. Once HaloDex has launched, we will offer a project voting competition where the community can vote to have their favorite projects listed on the exchange. More details will be announced next week. Throughout next week, we will also provide regular updates to our community with information pertaining to the HaloDex launch. HaloDex — Features HaloDex will feature a brand new user interface that stands-out for its ease of use. The new UI will be fed by a fast back-end and powered by an elegant, intuitive user interface. Users will immediately experience an ultra-fast lazy loaded (loaded only when used) front-end. In addition, there will be no requirement to sign-up with an email in order to use the DEX. The only requirement will be a valid Halo address. Upon release, we will offer base trading with a handful of currencies and tokens, with new ones added regularly based on community selection. The main difference between HaloDex and most other Decentralized Exchanges is that they only allow trading of Ethereum and Ethereum ERC-20 Tokens. The HaloDex has the capacity to trade every coin, regardless of network or algorithm, USDT, DASH, EOS, XRP, XMR, with no limitations to our capacity for listing a coin. Also, running on the Halo Platform Network allows for a much greater execution speed and overall faster experience. Only pay gas or transaction fees on Deposit or Withdrawal, never on trades, which will reduce your overall cost per trade. Look for our more details on HaloDex next week. The satisfaction of most traders’ basic needs will be available, such as: buy and sell orders, price chart, price depth, transaction history, deposits/withdrawals, as well as volume data. We plan to submit community voting for other projects, so everyone can have the opportunity to weigh in on our next listed coins. Stay tuned for more information on community listing voting. Our HaloDex and HaloX logo competition is underway! Last week we had over 50 submissions enter the competition, which we have narrowed down for community selection. The winners of the HaloDex and HaloX logo competition will each receive 50 HALO. To cast your vote, add one reaction to your favorite logo in the #halodex-logo-contest channel in our Discord community. The selection ends quickly, so be sure to cast a vote for your favorite logo soon. Next week, we will also release our exchange whitepaper and HaloDex.io landing page to the community.   The current trading page in HaloDex. HaloX Update Progress continues on the centralized exchange. This week the team focused on the API security implementation and we now have a very robust authentication procedure and policy in place. Focus right now is on the Peer-to-Peer margin implementation, after which we will be getting very close to feature completion and beginning work on hardening and testing. Look for the pre-registration site coming soon! Masternode System Earlier this week we released a patch for the Masternode DAPP. Please see below for a list of patch notes. To install the update, simply click the “Refresh” button while on the Masternode Monitoring page within Featherlite. Summary of Key New Features: All sorting and search text boxes should work (cannot currently sort by alias or pending sell orders) Watched masternodes (masternodes the halo prime account is not a joiner of) are now removable from card, list and detail view Added MN alias to monitoring list view Add sell orders table to monitoring list view Masternode detail view will disable all action buttons if account viewing is not a joiner/owner Monitoring card view shows number of sell orders Masternode Marketplace now has a loading bar to show sync progress Added MN tier to pending sell orders Price per share is corrected: total now correctly shows total price to two decimal places Fully Fund checkbox when joining a masternode now works correctly Masternode detail view Rewards Table now shows rewards/fees Block & Chain Games Update We are on track to release our first two games shortly after our exchange launches. While we are pending the formal announcement of these games and our team website, we are thrilled to share some teaser screenshots of our two launch titles:     Draggin’ Dragons: Choose your track and race your dragon to victory!   Blockfight: Coming Soon! Welcome to the Halo Platform bi-weekly newsletter. In today’s newsletter, we will take a look back a June 30th’s AMA with Devin Seto and provide an update from the recent release of Featherlite, version 1.0.2. June 30th was the end of quarter and we held a live AMA (ask me anything) session with Devin Seto on our Youtube channel. See the link below for the AMA video and a special sneak peek at one of the new games Block and Chain is currently developing! https://youtu.be/kuhte0-L0_0 Our next AMA will be later this month. Stay tuned in our various social media networks and community channels for more information on date and time. Featherlite — v1.0.2 Release Notes Early last week we released an update to the Featherlite wallet. Please be sure to update to the latest version of Featherlite here. Summary of Key New Features: Loading masternodes is much faster now (10 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the speed of your connection and whether or not you are using Lite or Full node). Masternode dapp: On the top action bar, there is now a loading bar and progress indicator to show the % progress in synching to the masternode system. Masternode dapp: On the top action bar, we added a Withdraw All button to withdraw your masternode rewards with a single click. Masternode dapp: On the top action bar, we added a Toggle View button to switch your masternode view between the previous card format and a summary list format. Masternode Monitoring screen: Graphs which show the total amount of active masternodes within the network, the current minting pool and current service fee pool. Masternode Marketplace: Pending Orders have been re-enabled so you can buy and sell masternode shares once again. Known Issues and Workarounds: It may take 15–20 seconds before the masternode sync begins — sometimes 2–3 mins. But it is working. The indicator (moving bar) and text will disappear if there is an error. Withdraw All Button: Only withdraws rewards for masternodes attached to current Halo Prime. Individual master nodes rewards can still be withdrawn the traditional way if they are not attached to your current Halo Prime wallet. Detailed release notes can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IWVxdAwPxPLRLD_05acOT1_GKhARiEvv/view?usp=sharing The wallet and masternode dapps are undergoing constant improvement, with most new features driven by community feedback. Here is a sneak peek at some of the updates coming in the next release: Wallet dapp will let you rename your halo accounts from inside the wallet dapp and the name will persist through to Account Control as well   2. Masternode dapp will show the tier inside the pending orders section. This will allow users to see what tier of masternode they are buying shares into without using the block explorer. 3. Price per share will also be fixed on both the marketplace and the detail view for masternodes (Active sell orders).   4. Masternode dapp will now show alias in the list view on Monitoring   Featherlite 2.0 The next version of Featherlite is well underway, with much of the application already converted to the new design. During this process we are cleaning up post-launch code to be more efficient and performant. Below is a sneak peek of 2 existing dapps inside the new interface. Masternode: Below is the existing Masternode dapp within the new Featherlite structure. Navigation controls have been moved into a floating drawer and account controls to the top right of the application.   Wallet: Similar to the Masternode dapp, here is the Wallet dapp within the new Featherlite structure.   Customize your view: Here an example of the new interface in action. Animations have been cleaned up and the new structure provides an open canvas for creating new functionality.   Exchange Update HaloDEX has made great headway with our finalized UI mockups and the front end implementation well underway, whilst the smart contracts and exchange protocol are being worked with the assistance of another recent hire. HaloX also saw great headway this sprint with further hardening and testing of the back end and the front end trading dashboard. At this stage it’s tough to say whether an exchange listing or one of the above will come first, but it’s certainly an exciting time and we cannot wait to see where the road will lead in the short term. Block & Chain Games Update While the Block & Chain team has been working on several games, we revealed one of them in a sneak peak during the AMA this past weekend. Draggin’ Dragons will be more than just a racing game. With breeding, trading, training, and collecting, players can build up their “stable” of dragons and earn Halo whenever their Dragon wins a race!   This is just the beginning of the Block & Chain games slate! June 22nd, 2018

Since our last newsletter, a lot of work has gone into the Halo Platform across multiple products. Development is fast and furious, with new features coming online very soon. Here we will breakdown just a small portion of what’s been going on with recent developments. Marketing the Halo Platform We’ve had numerous inquiries about our marketing efforts on the Halo Platform. Now that our Main Net is live, we are kicking these efforts into high gear. Some of you have already met our Community Manager, Scott Williams (affectionately known as “Jehuti” in Discord). He and Devin Seto, VP of Operations, are spearheading numerous marketing and outreach initiatives to bring more attention to the Halo Platform. These include: Each time we have a major release, we send out a press release to over 2,000 online media outlets — We did this last week for Main Net launch and will be doing it again for the Exchange release, upcoming game launches, and so on. We have partnerships with several crypto news outlets who post updates and articles with news about the platform. These sites have a very targeted following of crypto influencers. We are going to continue our monthly AMA sessions with Scott Morrison or one of the executives which will be live streamed on YouTube and posted to social media. We have social media accounts in both mainstream and crypto-specific platforms that we post to multiple times each week. We write 2 crypto related blogs each week and post them to Medium and Steemit. We also blast them out to our ever growing member email alias. We are working on several promotional videos for our YouTube site, which showcase the company and the platform. This week, we onboarded a new Business Development Manager, Matt Dowd, who will be working on strategic partnerships for our platform and be a presence at key crypto conferences. Looking ahead, we are also working on some interviews and Web TV spots. Look for more news on those in our next update. To prepare for our monthly Ask Me Anything (AMA), we would like to collect some questions from our community so team members can answer during the live stream. If you have a question for us, feel free to submit your question below and look for the answer during the live stream on June 30th, 2018. AMA Questions Form Masternode System New Features As we continue our development of the Halo Platform, more features are set to be released early next week. One such feature is the ability to see the total amount of active masternodes within the network. The below images show features that will be added to both the Featherlite wallet and the Halo Platform Block Explorer. Each active node will be broken down by tier represented in the first number. The second number is the maximum amount of masternodes a tier can host.       Monitoring View shows distribution of masternodes and new List View for those who like tables more than cards. During the last sprint the masternode dapp has seen multiple improvements. The biggest of all is a change in the way the DAPP data (masternodes, marketplace, etc) are loaded. We have decreased the loading times dramatically for both lite and full nodes which will offer a better user experience and faster path to withdraw your rewards! The other major change is the new Monitoring View. Users can now see some global statistics about the Halo masternode system such as the distribution of masternodes tiers and the current value of the minting and service fee pools. Monitoring view also now allows users to change between the existing Card View and a new List View. The List View offers a more concise experience for users. Also, we’ve reduced the join fee for public masternodes from 1% to .1%. Finally, for those with multiple masternodes, we added a “Withdraw All” button so you can withdraw rewards from all masternodes with one click! Featherlite — Upcoming releases We will be releasing a major update to the Featherlite wallet early next week. Keep a lookout in Discord and our various social media accounts for more information on what will be included in that release. Other News We recently published a visualization of our GitHub commits. See below to witness how much progress we’ve made over the past 3 months. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfjn_FpkK40   Exchange Update As you may be aware, we are building two distinct exchanges: Centralized Exchange — Advanced trading and charting, customizable interface, ultra low latency order execution, margin trading, risk management, advanced order types, API access, top tier cloud security, wide range of tradable products including fiat currency pairs. Decentralized Exchange — Cryptocurrency trading on the blockchain using smart contracts. Basic interface. Direct-to-wallet trading. Now that we are in the late stages of development, hardening and thorough testing, we have begun the road to exchange launch for both exchanges internally and in the coming weeks will keep you updated on progress of both pieces. We will be testing, auditing, testing some more and thoroughly polishing our exchanges security posture. We use ITIL best practices along with least privileged access patterns. Compliance Corner In preparation for the launch of the exchanges, Halo Platform is creating a pre-registration template for HaloX so that existing customers can be granted first access to the new services. The basic registration for entry into the centralized exchange as well as enhanced pre-qualification for consideration of our future fiat gateway products will not only keep HaloX compliant with ongoing regulatory environments, but also assure there is no backlog or waiting period for qualified applicants. Halo Platform and our family of Companies is serious about Compliance and AML Policies and is on the cutting edge of assuring customer security, regulatory adherence, and a long-lasting business model to keep up with current governmental requirements. The balance of having a secure platform that values your privacy and security while keeping in step with risk mitigation is a challenge in which we are in position to exceed customer and regulator expectations. Masternode Instructions Setting up and using a masternode is simple with the Halo Platform. HALO PLATFORM ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST PUBLIC RELEASE

Halo Platform Launches a New Generation of Cryptocurrency Management Systems Halo Platform announces the launch of the world’s first all-in-one system for cryptocurrency management, trading, and analysis. Informed by the user community, Halo Platform Technology has launched with a robust set of features that includes a high-performance blockchain, client application and masternodes. Users can now manage their cryptosphere without the need for 3rd party plugins or multiple applications. This release of the platform marks the establishment of a new generation of diverse and user-friendly cryptocurrency systems. Halo Platform ICO participants have also received their funds and many are now using those resources to acquire and launch their own masternodes. Halo Platform’s Main Net Release Established by founder Scott Morrison in 2017, Halo Platform is the first online platform that lets cryptocurrency users and enthusiasts manage all their activities quickly and easily. As an avid virtual currency trader and researcher himself, Scott saw a real need in the cryptosphere for a platform that creates a more unified experience. “Before now, there hasn’t been a singular place on the web that offers the array of cryptocurrency services that today’s evolving marketplace really needs,” says Morrison, “With the release of the Halo Platform, we have built a one-stop-shop for crypto enthusiasts of all experience levels to get the most from their cryptosphere.” The launch represents the first step towards realization of the product vision. The client application allows Halo Platform users to manage their currency wallet without the need for external plug-ins. Rather, the Halo Platform client is designed to support all of your crypto activities in a seamlessly integrated way. Today, the community will have its first chance to experience what the platform can do, including the ability to: Send and receive Halo currency, which: Takes milliseconds to process transactionally Costs no gas, or transaction fees Has no possibility of Transaction Front Running Set up multiple wallets Deploy and Manage Halo Masternodes, which: Can be set up quickly, with no technical skill required Can be easily Controlled, Redeemed, and Organized Allow users to join in with others to anonymously contribute towards a Masternode, jointly sharing the costs and awards While the community will certainly see the immediate value in Halo Platform’s user interface, the design of the underlying system is what really sets us apart from competitors. Halo Platform has designed a Masternode system that is easy to access and use, while breaking up the stranglehold that traditional mining pools are developing on transactions across many blockchain ledgers. Halo Platform has also designed a blockchain ledger that can process transactions almost instantly and forms a perfect cornerstone for upcoming applications, like dApps, marketplaces, and exchanges. Halo Platform — An Evolution of Crypto Control Halo Platform fills an important need in the growing cryptocurrency ecosystem. With increased global adoption, a need exists to provide a means to buy, exchange, track, analyze and utilize cryptocurrency within a single product. The Halo Platform provides a low barrier to entry for users to accomplish these objectives with a simple to use, high-performance suite of tools. We’re launching the Halo Platform because we know the crypto community needs an inclusive, secure, and reliable platform where people can manage all of their cryptocurrency activity. Platform — New Features With the recent success of the Main Net release, many users have already launched a private or pooled masternode. Once the masternode has become active, rewards will occur between 8 and 24 hours since the last payout. If interested in creating a private or pooled masternode, we recommend using the Full Node version of Featherlite. Using this version, Marketplace listings will populate faster compared to the Lite version of the wallet after the initial sync to our blockchain. Good news for masternode participants, collecting a reward has just gotten easier. Formerly, withdrawing a reward meant users would need to “Manage” their masternode within Monitoring and then withdraw the reward there. The new feature simplifies the process with a “Withdraw Reward” button in the Monitoring page. Below is a sample image take directly from the Featherlite Wallet. As long as your wallet is the latest version, this feature will be available.   Below is a list of recent changes our developers have made to enhance the Featherlite wallet. Wallet: Added a home page showing a card for each wallet Masternodes: Added withdraw button to cards on monitoring page Disabled share sell/buy feature temporarily while we work out the UX Fixed ping times to be in UTC/GMT time Monitoring Card now shows your available reward amount for withdrawal For shared masternodes, the Manage Masternode view now reflects your available reward amount for withdrawal instead of the entire masternode balance Added “Refresh” button in Monitoring so users will not have to refresh the wallet with keyboard command CTRL+R (Windows) or Command+R(Mac)   New Status Bar Featherlite — Upcoming releases Behind the scenes, our developers are working to upgrade the Monitoring action bar component. In the future the action bar will give notifications. One example: when another user is attempting to send you a sell order from the marketplace, a red number badge indicator will appear.   Status Bar with Badge Notification Community Chat & Groups DApp We have started work on the proprietary community chat and group application for the platform and have gone through several proofs of concept. There is a strong focus on security and privacy with this system so we are working through several encryption mechanisms to allow users to share data they want to and keep data secret that they want to. We are also identifying UX and UI improvements to current proof of concepts to increase ease of use. A lot of feedback we have gotten about the current platform is helping us design a better and more user friendly system for the chat and groups. HaloJS We will be adding seed phrases and data migration into HaloJS. Along with that, we are looking at doing some transaction caching to reduce the amount of times feather is hitting a node looking for information. Masternode System In the coming weeks, expect the masternode dapp to see performance improvements as we have identified some data loading bottlenecks on the system. This means that your monitoring refresh and marketplace won’t take as long to load. Halo Platform Accounts We are currently building out the API and information needed to incorporate an optional account structure into featherlite which will allow you to sync your keys to other devices securely and privately. A lot of the work we have been doing on chat and group discussion encryption allows us to securely encrypt and store private keys and other data in the cloud for syncing across devices. This will be an opt-in feature added to featherlite in the future. Exchange Update Now that the coin and platform is launched the pressure is on for an exchange release! As such the past two weeks have been pretty intense for the Exchange team. From the core exchange team we worked to harden the client facing order management API, added more advanced order functionality, built in protection mechanisms, laid out recovery procedures, and added functionality to the client API library that we aim to provide with v1. The front end team worked on our extremely customizable dashboard as well as mocking up more pages for the user/trade administration portal. The infrastructure team worked on the user management API and database structure. We’re really excited to be building an exchange so feature rich and robust and we plan to keep up the pace on development to bring it to you as soon as we can. Stay tuned! Block & Chain Games Update There hasn’t been a lot of news coming from the Block and Chain team for a while, with good reason. You have probably noticed blockchain games are hot news right now, and lots of companies are getting in on the action. The problem is that many of these companies are slamming out sub-quality products with very limited entertainment value. This result is a lot of hype with little substance. Block and Chain is turning that concept on its head. We currently have three great games well into development internally and a very important partnership with an external developer, who is building a suite of fantastic games for the Halo Platform. Marketing and media attention will shift to these applications shortly before they are ready for launch. We want to delight game enthusiasts and explode onto the crypto gaming scene in a way that demonstrates we are in it for the long term! May 11th, 2018

10 days to Main Net launch! Beginning Monday, we will provide daily updates in the run up to launch. These updates will include instructions to download and use the platform, instructions to acquire ICO awards, and other pertinent information to ensure you are ready to roll on May 21st. Road to Main Net At this time, we are applying final polish and testing to the platform to ensure all launch components are good to go. Some of these will be released to test net, such as our new wallet was last week. So keep your eyes open and we encourage everyone to continue to use testnet and send us any feedback on Discord, our website or over email. Halo Block Explorer: We are pleased to formally launch our Halo blockchain explorer. The searchable explorer provides real time data on every block on the chain as well as all transaction details in a clean, easy-to-read format. Expect many updates to the data available as the metrics you want to see and track become more apparent. You can access the Halo Block Explorer Here: https://explorer.haloplatform.tech Exchange This sprint saw a lot of hardening being done on the exchange order management system and core order routing API client/server. Final touches are being added to the pre-registration piece and focus is shifting back to the user administration portal. From The Founder As our Mainnet Release quickly approaches, I wanted to take a few paragraphs in this weeks update to talk about a few things. Firstly, There is not a day that goes by where I am not taken aback by the entire team here at Halo Platform and what they are achieving with the vision I originally set out for them last year. They are continually creating new technology that will move the ideological thinking of what and how you interact, control, and secure your Cryptocurrency. Old standards are being left by the wayside as we search for a lower threshold for adoption. Our community has grown, and provides a safe place to come and learn, discuss, and be around like-minded individuals. To each of the senior community members, I thank you for your donated time and efforts. Now for some real updates. We continue to have to make business decisions for the longevity and future of Halo Platform, some good, some GREAT, and some are good..but won’t be what you expected. The biggest piece of this is that we have made the technical decision to completely remove Proof of Work (PoW/Mining) from the Halo Network. The original concept for keeping PoW in place originally was to provide for a constant coin generation. We had already removed the miners responsibility for processing transactions out of it, which really only left the coin minting intact for them. As we progressed through our development it became apparent that keeping PoW in place would continually create us having to adapt our VDTB blocks to accepting PoW, which would be no easy feat given our current technology and where we are going with it in the future. On top of that, we placed valuable resources into use for the sole purpose of producing PoW blocks just to mint coins. The approach was not environmentally conscious. As such, we will now be minting coins via a Smart Contract. The minting schedule remains the same. The coin supply remains the same, we will produce 38 Halo every 4 minutes with a 25% reduction every 24 months. What does change is the distribution of those coins, and the service fees. Originally, miners were to receive 10 Halo per block, and 15% of the service fees. This reward is now divided amongst the four tiers of Masternodes as follows:   *All values are represented in Halo As you can see, the tiers now more evenly reflect their place in our hierarchy, and keep the ratio intact for the value of higher tiers vs lower tiers. I myself am an avid miner, with mid size farms. So this was personally a difficult decision to make. The technical piece of it allows us to move our blockchain forward to achieve much greater transactions per second which in turn can lead to more business being done. ^Scott Morrison, Shannon Duncan, Devin Seto, Sean Valeo

Featherlite Vision Unveiled — V 0.1.22 — Codenamed TNT

The latest version of featherlite has been released! This version (0.1.22) codenamed TNT is so named because it comes with some explosive new features both for security and usability. Let’s talk about the thing that makes this version so explosive. This is a game changer! It looks a little something like this:   Featherlite Account Control — Powered By Halo.JS This control system allows you to do a few things that I’ll outline here below. It is powered by Halo.JS. 1st — It allows you to create new accounts (+ sign on top right).
2nd — It allows you to select (One)(1) account as the HaloPrime (coinbase) account by clicking on the star next to an account.
3rd — It allows you to unlock and lock specific accounts
4th — It allows you to import either by a glo exported json file or by the raw private key of a Halo account. Soon we will be adding the ability to export your keys here. So just what is Halo.JS? Halo.JS is a sdk developed in house by Halo Platform to allow for interaction between a DAPP and a keystore to perform transactions against an open RPC port on a glo node. Simply put it is an ethereum provider built for Halo Platform to serve web3 and other additional API’s to developer’s applications. Think of it as the software form of another popular SDK Extension called MetaMask. However this doesn’t require you to install an extension. It also does not limit you to a single account at a time. As long as your account is unlocked you will be able to use it in any DAPP featherlite has opened. If my account is unlocked can anyone use it? No. When a DAPP requests an action that would require your private key, Halo.JS intercepts it, prompts the user to accept it, and then forwards it after it has locally signed the transaction out of sight of the DAPP. We are initially starting with a small subset of events that DAPPs can trigger that require user intervention: halo_transaction: This is a transaction of any type that needs to be signed by a user’s private key. This could be funds transfer, or even smart contract calls. (user has to agree) halo_unlockAccount: DAPP can request to unlock an account (user has to agree) halo_lockAccount: DAPP can request to lock an account (user has to agree) Security and Privacy These are two things that, above all, are very special to us. We take security and privacy very seriously and believe that halo.js is the next step in privacy and security for featherlite. It is important to realize that your private key is ALWAYS stored locally and encrypted. It is only ever decrypted in order to serve a signing request, but that request is still done in featherlite locally and never passed to a GLO node or DAPP. Nothing and No One except featherlite has access to your keys, and featherlite doesn’t have access until you unlock and decrypt your account. Remote RPC (The True Lite in FeatherLite) This brings me to the next piece of exciting news. With this release we also opened up a new option for featherlite.   The new client modes for Featherlite. The options are now labeled as follows: Recommended: This is the new remote rpc connection that connects to the masternode system which provides the RPC information needed to operate featherlite. Since Halo.JS keeps your private key local and only sends pre-signed requests to a GLO node there is no private data ever exposed. Advanced: This is the old Full mode that has been renamed for advanced. As a full node it will download the entire blockchain. Also for the first time your accounts will not be managed on this node but inside Halo.JS. A New Wallet There is a new wallet in town too. It includes support for some awesome things that developers can start taking advantage of. New Features: Token Support: You can now deploy, interact, and send tokens on the blockchain through the wallet. Contract Support: You can now deploy and interact with contracts. As well as watching contracts and tokens deployed by others. UI/UX Tweaks: We got some account details, send screen, and speed dial tweaks and fixes thrown in there. Changelog: For a full list of changes here you go — Removed unused components Added in Halo.JS (Frontend on DAPPs and Backend on featherlite) Updated and bug fixed vuex-web3-sync Removed account storage and management from local glo node Merged Account Control from manage tab to settings tab Removed Light Node Options (Standard node) Added Lite Node Option (Recommended / Remote RPC node) Began preparations for separation of mainUI from feather-client repo to featherlite repo New Account Control Ability to set coinbase Unlock/Lock Accounts Private Keys stored in App Locally and Encrypted Added contract deployment Added contract Integration Added token watch Added token deploy Added token send from accounts Special Thanks Wanted to take a moment and send out a special appreciate to the platform front-end team who have done some major work over the last weeks getting us prepared for mainnet launch on the 21st of May. Shannon Duncan — Architect of Halo.JS and Concept. Architect of Remote RPC. UI/UX Drawing guy. Nicolai Moraru — Halo.JS Implementation, Helped on Concept of Halo.JS John Leider — Unit Tests. Lots of them. Created Vuetify. Helped with UI/UX of wallet DAPP. Sean Kimball — Front End Dude. Implemented Wallet which was no small feat. Mike Hale — (Not part of front-end team but helped setup Remote RPC.) ^Shannon Duncan

May 4th, 2018

It’s been a very productive week on multiple fronts. The masternode DAPP is looking great and our exchange interface is visually stunning. The next version of Featherlite is also wrapping up and should be out to testnet next week. Road to Main Net Wallet: It has been a crazy week for the wallet and we are finalizing interaction with smart contracts. Currently users will be able to “watch” a deployed smart contract and execute its methods. Users will also be able to add erc20 tokens to the wallet and it will automatically update your accounts with the respective token’s balances, allowing users to send tokens to each other. We are putting the finishing touches on contract deployment from wallet and a new version should be released to testnet very soon.   Deploy a Smart Contract   Contract Detail View   Accounts View Masternode: The updated contracts have been integrated and the dapp is now 100% functional. Testing on devnet has begun. Beyond Main Net Quest: Quest is coming together nicely. We have a refined user experience being ironed out, along with high speed message delivery continuing to be improved upon. Expect to experience a global player among chat, communication, and message delivery systems. Quest will be the central technology that ties together our community and notification systems. Other: Other pieces of the platform are being evaluated and iterated upon such as the portfolio, multi-exchange control, multi-coin wallet, and marketplace. Expect to see updates on these after main net launch as we focus on further development of the main platform. Exchange: The exchange website continues to take shape with most of the trading page UI being completed this week. The back end team continues to work on APIs with a strong focus on scalability and resilience. We aim to begin accepting pre-registrations for the exchange at some point this month to smooth out the initial onboarding of users when we eventually take the exchange live. Stay tuned! ^Devin Seto, John Leider, Sean Valeo

As we head into our last full sprint before Main net launch, our focus is primarily on testing and applying final polish to the platform. We’re getting very excited as May 21st approaches! Road to Main Net The new wallet was deployed to Testnet this week. New functionality includes: Accounts list Send from one account to another account View outgoing transactions View account details The masternode application has been updated to utilize updated contracts. Can now create, join and leave pending market contracts. A new Featherlite binary with masternode provisioning, private send and contract deployment will be delivered in time for Main net. We will also be releasing Halo Scan, our blockchain explorer, displaying all transactions on our chain (see screenshots below). We have also revamped our ICO portal to give it the same look and feel as our new website. ICO participants will have easy access to their funds come May 21st.   Halo Scan Block Summary   Halo Scan List View Exchange It’s the start of a new sprint and the team are focusing heavily on the API and Authentication pieces to tie the front and back end together alongside developing the user administration portal. Long term objectives have been drawn up for the DEx and development will begin in parallel with the Centralized Exchange. ^Devin Seto, John Leider, Sean Valeo

This week marked the first half of our 10th sprint. While focus has continued to be on main net launch, we are continuing to make great progress on our exchange, games and other features. Road to Main Net Feather Progress: The newest version of Featherlite is nearly complete and we will roll it out to testnet for our community next week! Masternode Progress: DAPP integration is wrapping up and internal testing will begin next week. Private Send Progress: We’re working out some of the kinks with private sends on our litenode and are moving onto optimizing Constellation syncing next. Wallet Progress: The new wallet is being tested internally. Look for it to roll out to testnet next week (see below for more details)! We are on track to meet our May 21st main net launch date. Wallet Since our last sneak peek at the new Halo Wallet we have added quite a few new features. Users can now view account details where you can see your basic account info (name, address, balance), detailed information about transactions sent from Halo Wallet, edit your account’s nickname, and even copy the account’s address. We have also started developing a way for users to deploy, interact, and watch smart contracts as well as adding custom tokens to send and receive. The UI for deploying and watching contracts is completed and we are hard at work getting blockchain interaction to drive the new UI.   Contracts Dashboard   Watching A Contract Exchange Progress remains steady and fast on the exchange with the past week seeing completed mockups and the beginning of site development from the front end team; Network architecture concepts coming to life, and distributed event logging being put into play on the back end. Implementation has also begun for the Decentralized exchange which we intend to launch as a Feather DAPP to allow for distributed liquidity trading. Block & Chain Games Now that all of our games are in a playable state, we are working on integrating them into our blockchain through Smart Contracts. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be announcing our launch title. It’s a game that will define the genre for blockchain entertainment! In the meantime, check out this creepy 3D character from our upcoming battler game…   Look for an opportunity to participate in our beta tests soon! ^Devin Seto, John Leider, Sean Valeo, and Scott
